Digital marketing has emerged as an important strategy for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to enhance their market presence, customer engagement, and business performance. It focuses on the use of social media marketing, search engine optimization, content marketing, email marketing, and online advertising to reach target customers and promote products and services. The study also explores the major challenges faced by SMEs in adopting digital marketing, including limited financial resources, lack of digital skills, technological barriers, data privacy concerns, and intense online competition. At the same time, the opportunities offered by digital platforms, such as wider market reach, cost-effective promotion, personalized customer interaction, improved brand visibility, and access to customer insights, are examined. The research highlights the growing importance of digital transformation in enabling SMEs to adapt to changing consumer behaviour and competitive market conditions. It further examines how effective digital marketing strategies can improve customer engagement, brand awareness, and overall business performance. The findings are expected to provide useful insights for SME owners and marketers in selecting and implementing suitable digital marketing strategies. Overall, the study contributes to understanding the challenges and opportunities associated with digital marketing adoption among SMEs.
