Abstract

SQL Injection is one of the most prevalent and critical security vulnerabilities in web applications, allowing attackers to inject malicious SQL code into queries, potentially leading to unauthorized access, data theft, and data manipulation. This paper presents a comprehensive project that demonstrates how SQL Injection attacks can be exploited by simulating various attack scenarios, including login bypasses, data extraction, and search manipulation. The project highlights the security flaws that can be exploited through improper handling of user inputs and showcases the real-world implications of these vulnerabilities. Additionally, this paper provides effective prevention mechanisms, such as input validation, prepared statements, and proper error handling, to mitigate SQL Injection risks. Through the implementation of these countermeasures, the project aims to educate developers and security professionals on best practices for safeguarding web applications from SQL Injection attacks, ultimately enhancing the overall security of online systems.
